Electricity Reselling

Our Business

The electricity reselling market in Japan has been partially deregulated in stages from March, 2000 to allow entities accepted under the Electricity Business Act, other than utility companies, to sell electricity to specified segments of the market. Our electricity reselling business is conducted through eREX, a subsidiary of our company and an entity which currently sells electricity to non-household consumers in the Kanto, Kyushu and Tohoku regions in Japan.

We currently supply electricity over 1,300 users comprising entities of non-household consumers in the private sector and government institutions in the public sector.

eREX Vision

In the midst of the deregulation of the electricity market in Japan, our goal is the building of an electric power business model which takes the customer’s concerns into consideration.

New construction of power sources and cooperation with electricity utility companies is performed so that all consumers can be provided with a stable, low-cost supply of electricity.

Reflecting the viewpoint of customers, we are making policy recommendations for the promotion of electric power industry deregulation as well as consulting with government regulatory authorities.
